One Love Ambassadors London Meet-Ups and Hamilton!
"We're all just walking each other home." ~Ram Dass
Wow! We've been here in London three weeks, and the experience has been beyond amazing. As stated in the previous update we knew that we were in for a next level adventure and it's happening. Of course, turbulence is expected with elevation, however remaining calm is a clear way through it! For instance, we moved from our first London stop in Beckenham to our planned second stop in Orpington. Immediately I knew this was not the place for us although we had scheduled the Airbnb for a two week stay!
I began to declare in ease and flow we shall go! I made a resolve not to settle and surrendered the situation to Divine! There was an issue with the wifi that led to Airbnb support getting involved which led to the option for us relocate in peace. We were compensated by Airbnb, also goodwill and apologies were extended from our host!
We are currently staying in the most incredible condo hear Canary Warf/North Greenwich. We are exactly where we are meant to be back in alignment because we remained calm, stayed grateful, and surrendered in Love! *Sidenote: Never Settle! Staying calm with gratitude will always shift things for ya!
Connecting with friends has been a common theme during these first three weeks in London. The past two weekends have been spent with friends visiting London.
Our first encounter was with Nicole/Patrick visiting from the U.S. Our time together was priceless full of joy, laughter, chocolate, and walking from one must see site to the next! Nicole was in charge of the tour and she walked our feet off (ha) We ended with Gelato and Coffee so no complaints, just a heart full of gratitude that got to have this time together in London!
This past weekend we had the pleasure of hanging out with Charity/Maylene visiting from Portugal. We had a blast visiting Pubs, Museums, walking and eating and walking and eating. We laughed, danced, talked, and simply enjoyed hanging out!
We concluded our time closing an amazing Pizza spot. Charles and I were deeply touched when Charity/Maylene declared we are now considered auntie and uncle....what an honor!
Speaking of honor, after 5 years of waiting Charles and I finally attended a live performance of Hamilton. We were seated in the Royal Circle front and center at the Victoria Palace Theater; talk about Royal Treatment (Winks) The venue was amazing very majestic and welcoming. The show was PHENOMENAL we enjoyed it immensely and plan to see it again in the future elsewhere! It would be nice to see it in New York one day!
Our journey back to Beckenham after the Hamilton performance was quite adventurous. We just missed our second train which would have taken us directly to our apartment in 15mins. Instead we spent 20 minutes tracking to a bus stop which was not easy to locate. Once there we had two separate siting of red foxes! (They were on the hunt for food not humans, so we were good) Our bus ride was 55 minutes, and in case you're wondering the train we missed was the last one for the night!
Charles and I agree that the absence of the language barrier has made it much easier to flow into London life. Even though there are many cultures here the language most heard is ENGLISH which we can clearly understand, accent and all!
We are still eating a lot of fish and chips but also incorporating a lot of other delicious foods into the mix! I still haven't cooked a homemade meal but hey maybe I will soon or MAYBE NOT!
There's a lot happening back in the U.S. that we are experiencing from afar graduations, birthdays, and other celebrations. Although there is a part of us that wish we were there; a greater part knows we are exactly where we are meant to be right NOW!
