When you know that your dreams are meant to be reality, you become unstoppable in allowing your dreams to manifest. I know this to be true because I am a natural born dreamer. Now just to be crystal clear I am also a manifester which is different than just dreaming to dream! I dream to live the reality of my dreams.
I was the little girl with the big dreams and although there were adults around me that tried to squash my dreams, I refused to stop dreaming. I recall sitting on my porch in Detroit Michigan declaring; one day I will live in a big house with my two kid a girl and a boy. I will be a writer and publish books and travel around the world. As I grew into a womanhood my dream got bigger and the list went on and on. I dreamed of becoming a nurse and launching a podcast. Also to start a women’s magazine which was reimagined into becoming a contributor of an existing women’s magazine. I think the best way to sum up how I lived into my dreams is in the words of my youngest sister, Carmen. “Diane, everything you said you were going to do, you did it!” I lived into every single childhood dream…
One of the greatest dreams of my adulthood was going to Paris, France! It was a dream that called me out of the comforts of my life at a time when my life was on the RISE! Although I could not explain my rationale for walking away from life as I knew it to follow my dream, I knew that I had to do it! I knew that not following my dream would lead me to that place of “what if”; even though I couldn’t see how it was going to happen!

My decision to go all in on the dream of Paris France, cost me relationships, and had many people including family members questioning my sanity even though they knew I was not crazy, but to them my dream was a bit farfetched. The start of the journey to Paris was a bit rough yet I continued on because I knew it would become a reality. Here’s the thing, the magic really is in the journey, because that’s where the greatest lessons are achieved to prepare you for the destination or in my case the dream come true!
My journey to Paris would actually take a whole decade and let me tell you, it was an adventure! There were days when I questioned and even doubted my decision to say YES to follow my dream. BUT! I never stopped pursuing my dream and my doubts disappeared as time passed! I recalled less than six months before we landed in Paris, France a friend said to me “Diane, maybe Paris is not meant to be the reality of your dream; maybe it’s just a metaphor of something else.” I was totally unbothered or distracted by that statement, my response was thank you for sharing! At that point I not only knew that I was going to Paris, I also knew that it was near. Like I said earlier, I am dreamer that lives into my dreams which has allowed me to KNOW that right before the manifestation doubt comes to test your resolve!
Although it took a hurricane to signal “I could go now”, once I was in motion things moved in a rapidly. I was in the City of Love and Lights during the year-ending holiday season of 2024 to the start of 2025. Wait! What? I actually spent, Christmas, New Years, and my 59th birthday in Paris France! Shut the front! After ten years, a near death experience with my husband, endless road-trips across the U.S., becoming a two-time published author, and launching a syndicated podcast, I was finally once again living a dream come true moment.
The dream was Paris, France however the reality was so much greater. I said YES to the adventure and even though it did not unfold in timeframe or way that I thought it would; because I did not quit, I literally won the jackpot. From Nov 2024 to Nov 2025, I travelled around Europe and Ireland for a total of nine months like I was Rick Steves cousin or Samantha Brown’s sister! (HaHa)
There is a saying that goes; if your dreams don’t scare you, then they are not big enough! My motto is Dream Big then make that Dream Bigger and create the space to live into it!
