Often times starting over is seen to be a set back or failure. I have personally considered these feelings concerning starting over, however I am now able to view restarting in a whole new light. Most recently as I was working through changing this website from one hosting platform to another one, I lost all of my content. EVERYTHING was gone, four years of posting and content all no longer available. My initial response was annoyance which quickly escalated to anger when I was informed that for an outrageous fee, they might be able to retrieve most of my content. Seriously, after having the audacity to rob me with a smile, you can't even guarantee that you can retrieve all of my content. This was definitely a pause for a "wooo-saaah" moment, complete with earlobe rubs and all.

Ok so now after a few minutes I ask myself the obvious questions, do you pay the ransom? or do you start over? In that moment a light went off inside that indicated to starting over. I knew this was the right choice because of the immediate excitement that followed.

I could reinvent the site from a clean slate which unlocked so much creativity. I begin to research the different hosting platforms and actually found one that allowed me to build the site exactly how I envisioned it to be. Looking back, the loss of all my site content was one of the best things to happen because it pushed me into the restart zone.

The way we perceive things in our lives has a big impact on how we will respond. The next time you find yourself in a situation where you must choose to continue with what you have or letting it all go and choosing to start again, considering the restart. ~OneLove (Diane)
