There is still a lot of love in this world. Unfortunately, because the attention is mostly focused on the hate, violence, and darkness, many people just can't see or feel the love. Love is as simple as a kind word, hug, visit, or helping some across the street. Love can show up in a smile or even a kiss on the cheek. "Love Never Fails"
There are so many priceless ways to love. For instance making a surprise visit or sending a nice greeting card. Think about it; how would you feel if someone you really cared about surprised you with a visit on your birthday. Well let me tell you this; we did just that for my mom's 70th birthday and it meant more to her then any expensive gift.
Love is all around us, I know this because God is Love and God is everywhere. A while back I was at my local post office cashing a money order. I got engrossed in conversation with the postal worker and walked out leaving a $100 dollar bill on the counter. During my meeting at a coffee shop about an hour later, I went to pay for my order and noticed the $100 bill was missing.
The post office was the last place I had been, so I immediately called to speak with the person who served me. I was informed that he was at lunch and would call me back. I was about 30 miles away, so I headed back to the post office. While I was driving, the call came in from the postal worker, he confirmed that my $100 was there.
Here's were the story gets GOOD, apparently the next customer came to the counter and saw the $100 bill and gave it to the postal worker. All I could do was say wow and give thanks to the Lord for that kind and honest person. Fast forward about 6 weeks later, I was at the post office and found a wallet on the outside counter near the PO Boxes. The wallet had money and several credit cards, I turned the wallet in to the same postal worker and we both just smiled.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." (1 Corinthians 13:4-6)
Let us love one another, if we start with loving those around us and continue to love out from there, we can all "Love Forward"
